Odor, which is one of the sensory pollution issues, has become a significant concern for local residents, and the importance of odor measurement is increasing. The regulatory methods under the "Odor Control Law" include two types: "concentration regulation of specific odor substances" and regulation based on the "odor index" using a three-point comparative sensory method, both of which we can accommodate in our analyses. Additionally, our company has nearly 10 odor judges on staff who can respond to customer requests from the planning of investigations to measurements.

Odor measurement includes the measurement of odor substance concentration using instruments and sensory tests using human olfaction!

Our company conducts analysis and evaluation based on the "Odor Control Law." Odors generated from factory operations and other business activities are measured according to the occurrence conditions, such as air, exhaust gas, and wastewater. The gaseous odors are diluted with odorless air, and the dilution ratio at which the odor is no longer detectable is referred to as "odor concentration." Our company conducts odor measurements in accordance with the Odor Prevention Law. The regulatory methods are based on either the "concentration of specific odor substances" or the "odor index." In the case of "concentration of specific odor substances," measuring the concentration or amount of substances that are major causes of odor pollution will immediately reveal whether the regulatory standards are being met.
